Geothermal potential in Franconia?

N-ERGIE applies for exploration permit

Like many other municipalities, Nuremberg is also focusing on achieving its climate targets and transforming its heat supply. N-ERGIE is exploring previously untapped possibilities and investigating the geothermal potential underground in Nuremberg. A feasibility study is currently being carried out and the exploration of the underground in and around Nuremberg is being prepared. To this end, N-ERGIE has applied for an exploration permit from the Bavarian state government.
